Student Health Insurance

69É«ÇéÊÓƵ Health Services

Through a special partnership with Valley Medical Group, students enrolled in the 69É«ÇéÊÓƵ–sponsored Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) through Aetna Student Health receive 100% coverage for covered services, including routine primary care visits, office consultations, and ACA compliant preventive services (such as annual physicals and immunizations) at the on-campus Health Services Center. These services come with $0 copay and $0 coinsurance.

However, this waiver does not mean that all medical care is free. You may still receive a bill for services that fall outside standard primary or preventive care.

Services not covered by the 100% waiver include, but are not limited to:

  • Any services received outside of 69É«ÇéÊÓƵ Health Services: If you are referred to other providers (including those affiliated with Valley Medical Group), normal deductibles and copays apply.
  • Laboratory work: Even if the lab work is drawn at 69É«ÇéÊÓƵ Health Services, the laboratory services themselves will be subject to normal deductibles and copays.
  • Prescription Medications: Subject to standard pharmacy copays and any applicable deductible.
  • Advanced Diagnostics: X rays, ultrasounds, complex lab work processed by outside laboratories (including those affiliated with Valley Medical Group), and specialized testing.
  • Medical Supplies: Crutches, splints, boots, and specialized bandages.
  • Emergency & Urgent Care: Emergency Room visits or care received at off campus urgent care clinics.

Before undergoing any procedure, test, or receiving medical equipment, we strongly recommend asking your provider whether the service will result in an additional charge under your insurance plan.
