Financial Aid

Overview

Because Ramapo is a state-assisted college, the cost of attending is affordable compared to many other institutions. There are three forms of student financial aid and an application is required:

• Grants
• Loans
• Work/Study Payments

The package offered to a student is determined by financial need and college year.

Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Financial Aid is based on your financial need. Financial aid comes in the form of grants, loans and work-study. The first step to receiving financial aid is filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is available starting October 1 each year, and new students should submit their FAFSA no later than May 1聽so that we can send you your financial aid award letter around June 1. Spring Students –聽New or Transfer students need to complete a 2023-2024 FAFSA form.聽 If you have already completed your 2023-2024 FAFSA, please make sure that you log in to add 69色情视频’s school code (009344).

Important Notice for NJ Residents Applying for Financial Aid

NJ Residents:

On the 2023-2024 FAFSA on the web confirmation page, you MUST select the “optional feature” link to apply for NJ State based Financial Aid in order to be considered for NJ State Aid (TAG, etc.) from the Higher Education Student Assistance Authority (HESAA).

If you did not select the optional feature to apply for State aid on the FAFSA on the web confirmation page, you should go to 3-5 business days after submitting your FAFSA online. From there, you should select the link “Report Additional Information for State Aid.”聽 You will be able to create a login to the state system to provide the additional information they need directly online.
