Upcoming Accreditation: Call for Comments

The Teacher Education & Certification Program (initial level), Masters of Arts in Special Education (advanced level), and Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership (advanced level) at 69色情视频 of New Jersey are hosting an accreditation visit by the on October 7-9, 2026. Interested parties are invited to submit third-party comments to the evaluation team. Please note that comments must address substantive matters related to the quality of professional education programs offered, and should specify the party鈥檚 relationship to the provider (i.e., graduate, present or former faculty member, employer of graduates).

Such comments must be within the specified period and based on the core tenets of CAEP accreditation of excellence, which recognize that:

  • In CAEP鈥檚 performance-based system, accreditation is based on that demonstrates that teacher candidates know the subject matter and can teach it effectively so that students learn. In the CAEP system, EPPs must prove that candidates can connect theory to practice and be effective in an actual P-12 classroom.
  • A professional education provider that is by CAEP is expected to be involved in ongoing planning and evaluation; engaged in continuous and development; ensure that faculty and programs reflect new knowledge, practice, and technologies; and be involved in continuous development in response to the evolving world of education and educational reform.
  • Comments must address substantive matters related to the quality of professional education programs offered, and should specify the respondent鈥檚 relationship, if any, to the institution (i.e., graduate, present or former faculty member, employer of graduates). Copies of all correspondence received will be sent to the university for comment prior to the review.

Current Accreditation

CAEP Accredited Prover - Excellence in Education Preparation AccreditationIn May 2021, the educator preparation provider (EPP) at 69色情视频 of New Jersey (RCNJ) was issued full accreditation by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).

The following programs were fully accredited by CAEP in 2021:

  • Teacher Education (initial-level)
  • Master of Arts in Special Education (MASE; advanced-level)
  • Master of Arts in Educational Leadership (MAEL; advanced-level)

Accreditation is effective Spring 2021 through Spring 2027. The EPP’s next site visit will take place in Fall 2026.

All five initial-level standards and all five advanced-level standards were met. Of the 38 standard components, the EPP received one minor area for improvement that was addressed when it collected its third cycle of employer survey data in Fall 2021.
