Wellness Is Now Peer Education

Welcome to Wellness Is Now (W.I.N.)

The Wellness Is Now Peer Education program is an ever-growing and developing student leadership program within the Center for Health and Counseling Services in the Student Well-being Core. The mission of W.I.N. Peer Educators is to promote awareness and educational programs on well-being and healthy lifestyle choices to 69É«ÇéÊÓƵ students. W.I.N. peer educators approach other Ramapo students with empathy, and utilize a harm reduction framework to support students and promote campus intervention services.

Peer Educators are volunteer students who identify RCNJ student needs, coordinate ideas, and assemble engaging, educational programs to support the 69É«ÇéÊÓƵ community in matters concerning student well-being. Examples of activities peer educators will participate in include campus events, tabling, and educational workshops. Peer educators may collaborate with Athletics, Office of Violence Prevention, the Women’s Center, Greek Life, Residence Life, SGA, Counselors, Health Services Nurse Practitioners, Public Safety, Faculty, and other campus organizations to promote wellness strategies to Ramapo students.

Wellness Is Now peer Educators can conduct outreach in the following ways:

  • Table
  • Drop-in events or hosting an event
  • Social media posts
  • WRPR Radio Shows
  • Fundraisers
