  • Desislava Budeva, Associate Professor of Marketing, and her research assistant, student Julia Housel, co-authored two papers that were presented at academic conferences: 鈥淭eaching Critical Thinking to Marketing Students: Lessons from Other Business Disciplines鈥 was presented at the Marketing Educators Association Conference in San Diego, California in April, 2017 and 鈥淭he Effect of Institutional Distance on International Market Selection: Comparing Export to Foreign Direct Investment鈥 was presented at the Marketing Science World Marketing Congress in Porto, Portugal in June, 2018.聽 Both papers have been submitted to peer-reviewed journals.

Mr. Guevarra also presented the papers at the Southeast COPLAC Conference at the University of South Carolina in April, 2018.

  • Alexandre Olbrecht, Associate Professor of Economics, worked with economics major Jeremy Rosen on a paper entitled 鈥淐atching the Kosars and Passing on the Couches: An Econometric Approach to Modeling Quarterback Prospects in the NFL Draft鈥.聽 The paper was presented at the Eastern Economic Association Annual Meeting in New York, New York on February 25, 2017.
  • Ed Petkus, Professor of Marketing and Dean of the Anisfield School of Business, worked with marketing major Laura Criscione on a paper that was accepted for publication in the peer reviewed Journal of Higher Education Theory and Practice in November, 2016.聽 The article was entitled 鈥淐an We Have Class Outside? Implications of the Natural Environment for Marketing Pedagogy鈥 and appears in Volume 17 (1), 2017.
  • George Gonpu, an economics professor, worked with student Ciana Hamlett writing the paper 鈥淓xploring the Link between Exchange Rates and the Prices of Primary Export Commodities: The Case of US-Liberian Dollar Exchange Rate.鈥 This paper was presented at the Conference on Business and Entrepreneurship in Africa at Syracuse University, Whitman School of Management on May 19-21, 2016.
  • Jessica Perez, a senior majoring in accounting, presented her research paper entitled 鈥渢he Affordable Care Act and its Relationship with New Entrants to the Work Force鈥 at the 2015 Society for the Advancement of Management (SAM) Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada under the advisement of Professor Tammi Redd.聽 The theme of the conference was Advancing Management: The Employee, Ethics and Global Confidence and this presentation was made in a scholarly track session.
  • Christina Chung, marketing professor, worked with student Maxwell Auth 聽on a paper that they presented at 69色情视频 Poster Day in May, 2013 and that they will present at an academic conference: 鈥淔actors affecting Information Credibility on Social Networking Sites:聽 An examination of media richness and information adoption鈥, 2013 International Conference of Business and Applied Sciences in New York, NY in August, 2013. 聽The paper is also to be published in the conference proceedings.
