Walter S. Roberts (1932鈥�2020) was a graduate of Brown University, veteran of the Korean War, and a man remembered for his strong work ethic, friendly smile and generous spirit. Through this scholarship, his family鈥檚 intention is to inspire and support the next generation of nurses by honoring Mr. Roberts鈥� commitment to service and helping others.
This scholarship supports academically strong undergraduate nursing students who are committed to completing their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. Preference will be given to juniors or seniors with demonstrated financial need, helping to ensure that talented future nurses can complete their degrees and enter the workforce prepared to make a meaningful difference in the lives of their patients and communities. Applicants are invited to share any experiences they have had鈥攐r interest they have鈥攊n working with older adults or with individuals experiencing dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
