Rotary is a worldwide organization of business leaders and professionals promoting the idea of community service in both the local and global community. The Bergen Highlands Rotary Club serves the Saddle River Valley area including Allendale, Ramsey, Mahwah, Saddle River and Upper Saddle River.

This award was created by the Bergen Highlands Rotary to commemorate deceased members and friends from northern N.J. The scholarship will recognize Ramapo students who are committed to community service, and serve as a way to memorialize members and friends of the Rotary.

The honorees listed below embodied Rotary’s emphasis on “Service Above Self” and high ethical standards in both business and personal matters. They served to offer help in countless ways reflecting Rotary’s local focus and international breadth. It came naturally to them to be generous in their time and resources to improve the lives of others, locally and internationally. This endowed scholarship fund serves to memorialize their contributions and hopes to benefit students with similar values.
