MAHWAH, NJ – Work with Me, a group exhibition of 16 artists who have worked with 69É«ÇéÊÓÆµ professor Jay Wholley, opens in the Pascal Gallery at 69É«ÇéÊÓÆµ of New Jersey on Wednesday, February 25, with an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Various artists in the exhibition will give artists’ talks in the gallery at 6:30 p.m.
The exhibition, which continues through April 17, is presented in conjunction with the adjacent Kresge Gallery exhibition, The Piero/Leonardo Project: Recent Work by Jay Wholley. The artists have collaborated with Wholley in various ways, both as students and as professional artists. Professor Wholley taught sculpture and other classes at 69É«ÇéÊÓÆµ for 44 years.
A wide variety of artistic practices and media are represented, including sculpture, painting, photography, mixed media installation and video. Artists in the exhibition are Enzo Cinquegrana, Hannah Craft, Amy Cunningham, Greg DeLaura, Michael Dominick, Josh Knoblick, Bill Kooistra, Lori Merhige, Gini Miccinilli, Robert Modafferi, Marie-Noelle Moginie, Matthew Nicolosi, Kevin Silary, Chris Twomey, Gregory Van Maanen and Mimi Weinberg.
The Pascal Gallery is located in the Berrie Center for Performing and Visual Arts. Pascal Gallery hours are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. and Wednesday from 1 to 7 p.m. This program is supported in part by funds from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
