Carol Schaefer ’84, Retired Psychotherapist
Ms. Schaefer is a retired psychotherapist. She was a clinical instructor at the Yale Child Study Center and had a private practice in Ridgewood. She now is a member of the Yale Child Center Associates. Ms. Schaefer serves on the board at the N.Y. Philharmonic and the Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation. She received the President’s Award of Merit in 1997 and was honored as a Distinguished Citizen in 2002. She is a member of the Salameno School of Humanities and Global Studies alumni advisory board. Ms. Schaefer earned a B.A. in Psychology from 69É«ÇéÊÓƵ and a master’s degree in clinical social work from Columbia University; she also completed a program in family therapy at the University of Pennsylvania. Her hobby is gardening and she is a member of the garden club.
