What鈥檚 the difference between a fiddle and a violin?聽In the hands of a celebrated guest soloist with over 50 Symphony Orchestras, who also shreds electric聽fiddle through fuzz, wah and looping effects聽鈥�who is called 鈥渢he future of the Celtic Fiddle鈥� by the Washington Post, and 鈥渢he Jimi Hendrix of the聽violin鈥� by the New York Times聽鈥�who is Bronx born, yet the 9-time All-Ireland Fiddle Champion.聽What鈥檚 the difference? Nothing, in the hands of Eileen Ivers.聽

Eileen鈥檚 new, energetic, joyous and passionate band, Universal Roots, connect music, cultures, stories聽and emotions that tie us together 鈥�celebrating the fact that we are more alike than dissimilar. Music聽truly is the universal language.聽
