A social norm<\/a> is is a real behavior or attitude of a group. Students often think that the social norms of their peers are less healthy than they really are. A key way to prevent substance misuse is to educate on the reality of substance use among students, correct misperceptions of the social norm, and promote healthier choices.<\/p>\n
