Cookies (Information)<\/h1>\n

In order to connect to Library’s databases and e-journals from off campus, and well as to access EReserve, you need to configure your Web browser to accept cookies. Cookies are files generated by certain Web pages and stored on your computer, then used by these pages for certain purposes. The proxy server run by the Library logs you in to our resources, and it uses cookies in its operations.<\/p>\n

Please also note that personal firewall software also handles cookies. If you continue to have access problems after configuring your browser to accept cookies, you may also need to look at your firewall’s cookie settings.<\/p>\n

Please review the following instructions for configuring your browser.<\/p>\n

Internet Explorer 9, 10, 11<\/h2>\n

  1. Click the Internet Explorer icon on the taskbar to open Internet Explorer<\/li>\n
  2. Click on the Privacy tab<\/li>\n
  3. Click the Tools button, and then click Internet options<\/li>\n
  4. Click OK<\/li>\n
  5. Click the Privacy tab, and under Settings, move the slider to the bottom to allow cookies, and then click OK<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Internet Explorer 7 and 8<\/h2>\n

    1. Choose Tools and then Internet Options<\/li>\n
    2. Click on the Privacy tab<\/li>\n
    3. Under Settings, keep the setting on Medium or lower<\/li>\n
    4. Click OK<\/li>\n
    5. Close Internet Explorer, and open it again. Your browser is now set to accept cookies<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Mozilla Firefox<\/h2>\n

      1. Choose Tools, then Options<\/li>\n
      2. On the top of the window, select Privacy <\/li>\n
      3. Under History, go to the drop down menu and select “Use custom settings for history”<\/li>\n
      4. Make sure the “Accept cookies from sites” box is checked<\/li>\n
      5. Click OK<\/li>\n
      6. Close Firefox, and open it again. Your browser is now set to accept cookies<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        5. To enable cookies, select Allow local data to be set (recommended)<\/li>\n
