The Bridging the Gap Fellowship (BtG) equips students with bridge-building skills to engage in meaningful conversations across the deep divides of our polarized society. Based on a curriculum from Interfaith America, BtG helps students learn to listen, hear, seek common ground, and work with others. Through this process, they also discover more about themselves and narrate their own stories.

Over eight sessions, split evenly across the fall and spring semesters, the fellowship will include an introductory meeting, five workshops, and an opportunity to plan an event for Ramapo students highlighting the benefits of thoughtful bridge-building. Meals will be provided at our meeting and we’ll conclude with a special dinner.

Upon completion of the fellowship, students will receive a stipend of $250. (Up to two students will have the opportunity to return as “BtG Ambassadors” in 2026-2027.)

Supported by a generous contribution by an anonymous family foundation.

Wednesday, April 29 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm in SC-158 (Alumni Lounges)

Organized and led by Ramapo’s 2025-2026 Bridging the Gaps Fellows

Join us for discussion with storyteller-activists about how they use personal narratives in their advocacy work.
