The upcoming midterm elections promise to exacerbate this problem further\, even as experts debate root causes. Rather than pine for (mostly imagined) days of unity and civility\, we will discuss strategies for productive outreach and communication\, based in empathy\, mutual benefit\, and a commitment to learned understanding. \nPaths to Understanding is our semesterly collaboration with Ridgewood Public Library.
