Some courses in the minor also count towards satisfying major requirements in psychology and social work. However, the minor is open to all interested students.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The faculty teaching in this program are all professionals in the field of substance use disorder counseling. In addition to full-time faculty and staff at 69色情视频, experts from the community teach in the program on an adjunct basis. This provides students with the best combination: excellent teachers who have years of direct, professional experience in the field.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em\"><\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"collapsableContent\" tabindex=\"0\"><div class=\"collapsableTitle\"><span class=\"fa-stack\"><i class=\"fa fa-circle fa-stack-2x\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-down fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-up fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><\/span>Outcomes for the Minor<\/div><div class=\"c_content\">\n<p><strong>Goal:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Demonstrate competence in substance use disorders specific content knowledge, be able to integrate and apply that knowledge, including critically selecting research informed interventions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><strong>Outcome 1:\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the spectrum of substance use disorders and the components of their evaluation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><strong>Outcome 2:\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Students will be able to demonstrate integration and application of substance use disorders counseling skills.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"collapsableContent\" tabindex=\"0\"><div class=\"collapsableTitle\"><span class=\"fa-stack\"><i class=\"fa fa-circle fa-stack-2x\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-down fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-up fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><\/span>Requirements of the Minor <\/div><div class=\"c_content\">\n<ol>\n<li>At least 1\/2 of the courses fulfilling a minor must be distinct from the student\u2019s major. That is, three of the five courses required for a minor cannot be used towards fulfillment of major requirements. A school core does not need to be completed for a minor.
