{"id":5534,"date":"2018-06-01T13:44:17","date_gmt":"2018-06-01T17:44:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/catalog-2018-2019\/?page_id=5534"},"modified":"2018-06-01T13:44:17","modified_gmt":"2018-06-01T17:44:17","slug":"student-military-leave","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/catalog-2019-2020\/masters\/student-military-leave\/","title":{"rendered":"Student Military Leave"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Students who are unable to complete a course due to military service have several options based on attendance.\u00a0 The student shall follow the NJ State Law 18A:62-4.2.<\/p>\n<p>69色情视频 of New Jersey will act in accordance with the State Law NJ 18A:62-4.2.which outlines options for students at public institution of higher education that are unable to complete course due to military service.<\/p>\n<p>A student at a New Jersey public institution of higher education who is unable to complete a course because the student is called to partial or full mobilization for State or federal active duty as a member of the National Guard or a Reserve component of the Armed Forces of the United States shall be entitled to the options set forth in this section with respect to the student\u2019s grade for the course.\u00a0\u00a0 In all cases, the student is encouraged to consult with his\/her faculty member (s) on the available options.<\/p>\n<p>Students that are called to partial or full mobilization for State or federal active duty must contact the Office of the Registrar as soon as possible upon receiving their orders to understand their options.\u00a0\u00a0 The Office of the Registrar will alert the faculty member, with a copy to the Dean of the school in which the course is offered.<\/p>\n<p>A student who has completed at least 50% of a term may choose to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>receive a letter grade; or<\/li>\n<li>receive a grade of pass or fail; or<\/li>\n<li>receive a grade of incomplete; or<\/li>\n<li>withdraw from the course.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A student who has completed less than eight weeks of attendance in a course may choose to:<br \/>\n(1)\u00a0 receive a grade of incomplete; or<br \/>\n(2)\u00a0 withdraw from the course.<\/p>\n<p>A letter grade or a grade of pass shall only be awarded if, in the judgment of the faculty member teaching the course, the student has completed sufficient work, and there is sufficient evidence of progress toward meeting the requirements of the course, to justify the grade. If the faculty member determines that the student has not completed sufficient work to receive a letter grade or a passing grade, the student should consider options 3 and 4 above. The faculty member\u2019s assessment is final.<\/p>\n<p>A grade of incomplete shall remain valid for a period of one year after the student returns to the New Jersey public institution of higher education.<\/p>\n<p>A student who chooses to accept a grade of pass or fail may, within one year after returning to the New Jersey public institution of higher education, receive a letter grade for the course by completing the work required for the course, in which case the letter grade shall replace the pass or fail grade as the student\u2019s grade for the course.<\/p>\n<p>A student who chooses to withdraw from a course shall receive a full refund of tuition and fees attributable to that course.<\/p>\n<p>A student who has paid amounts for room, board or fees shall receive a refund of that portion of those amounts attributable to the time period during which the student did not use the services for which payment was made.<\/p>\n<p>Any refund payable to a student who is a financial aid recipient shall be subject to the applicable State and federal regulations regarding refunds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a class=\"btn\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/catalog-2019-2020\/masters\/\">Back to Graduate Programs Policies and Procedures<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Students who are unable to complete a course due to military service have several options based on attendance.\u00a0 The student shall follow the NJ State Law 18A:62-4.2. 69色情视频 of New Jersey will act in accordance with the State Law NJ 18A:62-4.2.which outlines options for students at public institution of higher education that are unable [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":1326,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-5534","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v21.5 (Yoast SEO v27.1.1) -
