The grant funds a year of research and activities to explore how Ramapo can facilitate character development among students in ways that reflect our community\u2019s mission, community partnerships, and location in the Northern New Jersey Highlands and on the ancestral lands of the Ramapough Munsee people.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Guided by the work of indigenous Anishinaabe scholar Leanne Betasamosake Simpson, who discusses learning as the practice of \u201cwalk[ing] around the world twice,\u201d the grant supports a year of service-learning opportunities, working group sessions, research, and resource gathering.
